Protecting Yourself Against the Decline of the Middle Class.
We live in a different world than existed just a few short decades ago. When I was a kid there were only a couple of kids in school who's mother worked, and we felt sorry them. That was then this is now. The world that we live in now it is almost impossible for the average wage earner to make ends enough money to support a family on one income. Today, most middle class families have to try to get by on 2 incomes. The real scary part is that it is not going to get better. I have been watching this trend for years, and watching people work harder and harder for less and less buying power, oh yes, the dollar amount has increased but the buying power is declining rapidly.
Recently Lou Dobbs on CNN told us that the "elites are waging an outright war on working" families. We all have a serious choice to make, and we must make this choice now. Are we going to be among the "haves" or the "have nots"? The plain facts are that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. The middle class is shrinking rapidly and going to become almost non-existing. Where are we going to be, are we going to be a have or a have not?
Let's face it, working for somebody else -- having a job -- will rarely make us rich, or for that matter elevate or standard of living. We need to work for ourselves, after all doesn't that make more sense. We are supposed to be working for the benefit of ourselves and our families, that is our responsibility and the goal. Really it has proven to be the best way to succeed.
The day and age that we live in is ripe with opportunity. There is more potential to make a living, a good living as our own boss. The technology is in place to do so much right from our homes. More money is being made in home based businesses then ever before. If you think that you are not capable of succeeding in business on your own, think twice, it is more a matter of desire than anything else. If you have a vision of wher eyou want to go, you will find a way to get there.
